Course Description

This 5 credit course is designed to introduce non-science majors to the concepts of ecology and the environment through both lecture and lab.  The course includes three hours of classroom lecture, three hours of lab, and one conference hour each week for the term.  Topics covered during the quarter will include an overview of the basic ecology of the environment and a range of environmental issues such as population growth, pollution, water resources and forestry.  The 101 course fulfills 5 credits of the science distribution requirement at Clark.
