Mathematics Dept.'s Math Success Sessions (MASS) SCHEDULE Feb 13-16
Prof. Paul Casillas will present simple yet practical steps you can take to improve your performance in math classes. Free! No reg needed!College Algebra Study Group and College Trigonometry Study Group
These study groups are free and open to anyone currently taking Math 111 or Math 103. They operate as problem discussion Q&A sessions somewhat like math help center but focus on the particular course. They supplement (not replace!) your class lectures/discussions. Note: Groups meet in weeks 1-10 but do NOT meet on holidays or faculty workdays.

AMATYC, the American Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges, runs a national math contest called the Student Mathematics League in which Clark College participates. The contest involves two 1-hour long multiple choice tests (round I in fall, round II in winter). Top scorers at Clark win prizes; top scorers nationally can win scholarships. The questions are at the Math 103, Math 111, or higher level. Contact Kanchan Mathur for more information.
