How do I get started in an online
mathematics class?
- Read your instructor's class orientation page
linked here.
- On the FIRST DAY of the quarter login to your online math
class in Blackboard, complete any first-day assignments your instructor has
posted there, and read your class syllabus!
I'm waitlisted,
what should I do?
Keep in email contact with your instructor (email
addresses here). Check your "waitlist status" at least daily at
www.clark.edu/admissions_fin_aid/registration/waitlist.php. If you do get
added to class then you will have access to Blackboard a few hours later. Once
you do, login to Blackboard (clark.blackboard.com)
and catch up on any first week orientation, requirements, and assignments.

Can you give me some general
information about online mathematics classes?
All online mathematics classes at Clark are conducted in
Blackboard. Most classes require you to participate regularly in the class
discussion board, submit assignments/tests electronically, and have access to
an online textbook that provides video lectures and interactive tutorial
exercises.
Where can I learn more about my specific class?
Read your class syllabus for details! This is a vital
document contains important information and policies specific to your class. Your instructor will
have it available for you inside Blackboard and perhaps linked from their
class orientation page listed here.
