Assignment 1: Summary

Please write a summary of the reading Confessions of an Ex-Smoker, by Franklin Zimring.  Follow the guidelines for good summaries found in this website with one exception: You may choose to write your signal phrases in either the present (MLA) or the past (APA) tense, depending on your preference.

For additional support, please check your textbooks Foundations of Writing, and The Bedford Handbook. There are clear explanations of how to write a good summary there.

Turn in:     1.         The summary, which follows guidelines.

                2.         A summary evaluation sheet which has been completed by a classmate.
