It is a general look at Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at the Adult (ages 8 & above) level and basic first aid skills. Due to the procedure established for CPR, the Adult CPR certification needs to be renewed every year, whereas the First Aid certification is good for 3-years. For the Adult CPR certification, not only is the CPR skill practiced, but other skills such as rescue breathing, choking emergencies, and recognizing emergencies are also practiced. The First Aid certification includes providing care for various situations, such as shock, poisoning, extreme weather conditions, injury to skin and bone, and other physical trauma to the body. This is a certification for those individuals who are associated with loved ones who are adults and also those who experience various outdoor lifestyle activities. |
