ü Any time the book tells you to use a file that has already been created, you will find it on the system drive here at school under Student Files/BTEC 169 & 170/BTEC 169. I will try to put links to the files in all online assignment sheets as well.
You may follow the directions in the beginning of your book to download these files, but using the student files and files attached to assignment sheets will probably be easier and will include any updates that I have made to the files.

ü Setup all worksheets to be centered horizontally and to fit on 1 page when printed. Use your discretion as to whether the page looks best on a portrait or landscape page.

ü In addition to typing your name in the documentation tab of the sheets, we will also put your name in the footer following the instructions for PageSetup. If the book asks you to put something different in the header/footer, follow my instructions rather than the book.

ü In some assignments, we will be adding information in the header in addition to our normal footer information.  Follow instructions demonstrated in class regarding these footers and headers.

ü Center embedded charts below data in sheets.

ü Before printing, always use PrintPreview to check to make sure that everything is readable and correct. After printing, re-check to make sure that everything is readable and correct. If the colors suggested in the book are unreadable when printed on your printer at home or here in our labs, change the color choices of the fills and/or fonts. Use BestFit to adjust column widths to show data unless directed to assign specific column widths.

Remember...our  workbooks should all be:
 
  • Complete
  • Consistent
  • Correct

  • Clear
