Corporate Education offers a non-credit video program that fulfills the Washington State Department of Licensing renewal requirements for persons governed by Chapter 18.130.RCW.


The program consists of videos available for rent in the Continuing Education department at Clark College. Participants check out the videos, take them home for viewing and complete a test while viewing the videos. Upon return of the videos, the test is scored immediately. Participants scoring 70 percent or higher on the test will receive a certificate verifying successful completion of the program.


Videos are available on VHS or DVD and are rented by reservation only. Three versions of the program are available:

 

2 hours
Basic HIV/AIDS issues.
Fee: $30

4 hours
Infection control; personal perspectives; testing and counseling; legal and civil rights issues.
Fee: $50

7 hours
A comprehensive look at AIDS: etiology, epidemiology, clinical manifestations, treatments, transmission, testing, and legal, ethical, and psychological issues.
Fee: $60



 

Which program do I need?

The version that you need depends on the type of license you require. Check your license application or call the Washington State Department of Licensing to find out which one you need.

How do I check out a program?

You must reserve all programs in advance. Call (360) 992-2939 to check availability of tapes and reserve a date.

How long may I check out a program?

Videos are available for checkout only on Monday and Thursday afternoons, between 3 and 5 PM. Tapes checked out on Monday must be returned by 2 PM the following Thursday; tapes checked out on Thursday must be returned by 2 PM the following Monday.
Office hours 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Where do I pick up a program?

You will receive directions to Clark College when you make your reservation.

Is there a group discount?

Yes. There is a discount if two or more people view the videos at the same time. Please call for details.

When do I get my certificate?

You will receive your certificate the day you return your videos and test, provided you score 70% or higher on the test.

Do I receive college credit?

There is no college credit for completing this program.
