CEUs at Clark College
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for select programs and
classes offered through Clark College’s Department of Workforce
Development and Continuing Education. The Department also works with outside
organizations and associations to sponsor CEUs for non-credit workshops,
training events and/or conferences. CEUs provide a permanent record of
the educational accomplishments of those who have completed a significant
number of hours in non-credit courses, professional workshops, customized
trainings, seminars and conferences. One CEU is equal to 10 contract
hours of instruction.
Documentation of CEUs
Upon successfully participating and completing a course or training event,
students receive an official CEU Certificate documenting the class and
number of CEUs earned. Issuing of the CEU Certificate may take up to three
weeks from the last day of class. The Department maintains individual
CEU records for a period of seven years. Students requiring CEU Certificates
for past courses may order additional records for a fee of $3 each by
contacting the Clark College Department of Workforce Development and Continuing
Education at (877) 473-1600.
CEU Fees & Registration Procedures
Unless otherwise noted, there is an additional charge of $20 for courses
earning CEUs. Students should indicate on the Registration form that they
are taking the course for CEUs at the time of enrollment. Unless the class
is cancelled by Clark College, the CEU fee is not refundable.
Transferability and Acceptance of CEUs
Students are encouraged to check with their employing agency and/or professional
association to find out if these Continuing Education Units from Clark
College are accepted. The Department of Workforce Development and Continuing
Education does not maintain a list of agencies that accept CEUs.
