LESSON POLICIES AND FEES

  • Lesson fees may be paid by the month or by the term. Contact April Duvic for the current cost of lessons.
  • Twenty-four hour prior notice is required if you must miss a lesson. Make up lessons for excused absences will be scheduled at the instructor’s convenience.
  • No make-up lessons or refunds are given for a “no-show” situation – the time is reserved for you and you buy and own the time whether you are there or not.
  • If the instructor misses a scheduled lesson, a make up lesson will be given or fees credited to future lessons.
  • Clark students taking lessons for credit must have 10 lessons before the end of the term.
  • Clark students are strongly encouraged to start lessons the week of September 7-10 with the non-credit students. Fall term is a great time to jumpstart your voice studies with some extra lessons.
  • Due to my college faculty responsibilities, some weeks I may miss your lesson as listed below. If you are taking lessons for credit, you MUST have 10 lessons completed before Dec. 13 and will need to arrange for make up lessons on the available lesson make up days. (TBA)

For your advance planning, a partial list of this year’s performance and competition opportunities is included. Please pencil these events in on your calendars and have your repertoire learned and memorized well ahead of the date (two weeks ahead is a good rule to follow). Successfully participating in as many performance opportunities as possible is excellent preparation for such things as scholarship competitions and college auditions.

In order to make the best progress in music study and vocal development students should attend all their scheduled lessons and come to lessons having practiced at least 30-45 minutes a day each week. Students who are not exhibiting a high level of personal commitment and improvement will be placed “on probation” and may be dropped from the teaching schedule.
